The Yorkshire Dales has a lot to offer! To the east lays York, the North Yorkshire
Moors and many race courses such as Ripon, Thirsk, Wetherby and Sedgefield. Ripon
itself has its historic cathedral - and the enigmatic world heritage site Fountains
Abbey is just a few miles from Masham.
To the west is Wensleydale - famous for its natural beauty it is now home to many
varied and successful businesses. Middleham is the racing capital of the North and
trainers such as multiple classic winner Mark Johnston have made their home there.
Then theres Leyburn with its famous markets, railway (occasionally with steam!) and
bustling activity. Hawes is home to the infamous Wensleydale Cheese creamery as
well as some of the most beautiful walking country and views in the north of England.
